Our guest speaker C. J. Adcock of Park View High School presented a power point demonstration on his "People To People" trip to Europe. His enthusiasm was contagious as he spoke about his emersion in the culture of Europe and the individual countries visited. (10/08/2009)

Pastor Leon Dorleans of Haiti Outreach Ministries addressed the club about his work in Haiti. His schools have enrolled over 1,100 students. The South Hill Rotary Club is partnering with them by providing water filtering systems in homes. (10/22/2009)

The South Hill Rotary Club begins collecting teddy bears to donate to Gleaning For The World. This annual collection has produced over 2,500 bears in the last 2 years. Collection will end Nov. 18, 2009. (10/22/2009)

Each year the club has its annual Christmas Party and invites the members spouses. A very fun and festive evening. The members gathered for a photo to send to our adopted soldier in Afghanistan. The photo will accompany 2 boxes of goodies being sent. (12/17/2009)

Our guest speaker Clyde Wilson spoke to the club on the progress of the new soccer complex "Bunny's Field". The club was informed that a professional soccer team "Richmond Kickers" will play an exhibition game with Longwood University in South Hill March 27. (03/18/2010)

Marcus Hargrave brought the club up to date on the plans for the Y. M. C. A. expansion to new facilities in South Hill. (04/01/2010)

State Senator Frank Ruff brought the Club up to date on several issues concerning our area as well as some state and national issues. (04/08/2010)

A. G. Bruce Settle inducted our newest club member Clyde Wilson. Clyde is a primary factor in bringing soccer to South Hill by creating "Bunny's Field" which is a professional grade soccer field with the intent of providing a venue for tournaments in South Hill. (04/29/2010)
